(*) Predicting United States policy outcomes with Random Forests. INET 2020
We apply Random Forests, for prediction and for inference (via feature selection), to a political science dataset about U.S. legislation outcomes, curated by Gilens and Page. Our findings offer evidence for strong plutocratic tendencies in U.S. government legislation.
